All Sparkly, Pink and Painted

Breyer just keeps releasing more great stuff that I  cannot buy at the moment. First, I will show you the Classic version of fairy tale's and sparkles.

Meet Glitter and Gem

Breyer describes them as:
"Wouldn't you love a beautiful and elegant Unicorn mare and her sprightly foal for your Classics collection?  Well, meet Glitter and Gem, complete with pearlescent purple blankets made just for them!  With their golden unicorn horns, they spread peace, cheer and rainbows wherever they go.  Think of the adventures you'll dream up with these two!  Classics 1/12 scale and comes in a mail order box. "

Glitter and Gem remind me of Bella and Mozart, who were released earlier this year. Do I see a series coming up?

Because I am not into fantasy models, I almost jumped with excitement when I saw this:

Introducing Vixen and Blitzen. I absolutely love the paint job (and the little blankets!) but I still do not know if I will be able to get her. They are a limited release of 1000, and Vixen has "Happy Holidays 2014" on her belly. This is most certainly going to go on my Christmas wishlist.

Excited!

I am sure I have told you that my favorite horse color is the Grulla Pinto/Paint. If you recall in this post I pretty much raved on how much I loved the color. Anyway, I happened to have a Grulla etchie I was working on. I finished her etching last week. I have glossed her eyes, hooves, nostrils, and ahem....feminine parts. She is fully mapped. All I have to do is seal her. I am glad to announce the new arrival of my herd......Moonshine!

I hope to have Calypso, Sherbet, and Untitled Name done this week. Sherbet is staring at me from his shelf in agony...I think he is next! :)

On the other hand, MEPSA has just announced that the Championship show book is going to print and all entrants should get their boxes of ribbons, results, championship show book, and the prizes will be here in the next two weeks!

Etchie In Progress....

I have been working on this guy inconsistently for about six months. He was the 2003 War Admiral in the Man O' War mold. He had some bad rubs, and for him to be photo-show quality, I had to go ahead and etch him. He is IN PROGRESS, only being about 60% done. Here are some pictures of the pretty(ish) boy:
Please forgive the poorly fitted Breyer Halter.

I will be finishing edges, adding more white, and mapping. He should be finished by the end of the week.

Something totally non-related.....
My friend makes cards and she has a blog called Colorful, Creative, Cards. She makes them all by hand.

Like this one....

Here is her blog if you want to check it out. She would really appreciate it!

Charm

So, I started thinking about unique paint colors. Come to be, one of my good friends owns a Half-Arab mare named Charm. Even though I had heard stories about Charm, I didn't get to see her till last month, when I came over to my friend's house. I immediately fell in love with Charm's color.

She is Half Paint, Half Arab.

I think I might just want to make a custom portrait of her!

 Look at that facial marking!

Of course, with my friend being a rancher's daughter, they also had other animals such as......

I rode this horse. His name was Snickers.

 Goats love kids!

Me with the nicest goat, Tangled (yes, it's name is Tangled).

have a nice day!
