I Got A Foalzilla

It happened.

I never thought I would get this model....mostly because she is just so huge.

Oh well, when I see a good deal on Amazon, I have got to take it.
Two days ago, I paid 28 dollars for the "Foalzilla", Camila.

Amazon has some really good shipping when you are a prime member (unlike Breyer) and within two days the box arrived.

Yes, I also got the 2015 Horse Of The Year for a photo show I am hosting, and some makeup.

I got the most common variation, which I was actually excited about. I love red dun paints (hint, hint BOBBY JO!) and I was crossing my fingers to get this variation of the three different types the model came in.

This filly is a BIG gal. I have seen many photos and YouTube videos on the model but I never imagined how BIG she is!

OT Sara Moniet is a small Traditional model, and I would have gotten another model out but I just wanted to photograph the two of them.

"Why are you so tall??"

All of the foal sizes (except the Mini Whinnies), going from Stablemate, Classic, Traditional, to Camila.

Anyway, this gal needs a name. Have a suggestion? Comment below!!

Two More Liebsters

Oh my goodness! I have been nominated for two more Liebster awards!

Liebster Award
(All of the Liebster Award rules are in the last post)

These nominations are from Stable Storeys and Trail Blazer Farm. Thanks you!

Here is Trail Blazer Farm's questions:

1. Who is your favorite horse, model or real?
Ollie is my favorite horse, or it would have to be Mindy, Clinton Anderson's horse.

2. Where do you want to go, any world, any place, any time?
Quarter Horse Congress, and Appaloosa World Show.

3. Are you an only child or do have siblings?
I am the oldest of five siblings.

4. If all of your models were real, which one would you want to ride, show, etc.?
Hmmm...Probably my Don't Look Twice mare, Catty Little Snazz.

5. How did you get started in the hobby?
I saw a Breyer in Walmart when I was 6 and then I was hooked.

6. Who was your first model?
My first model was a Classic Appaloosa Duchess set with the Andalusian Foal

7. What was your best model purchase?
Hmm....on a level of getting a great model for cheap it would probably be my Ballou. I got him for 15 dollars and he is LSQ. My favorite buy would have to be my OT Sara Moniet or my Don't Look Twice. Collin is high up in that ranking as well.

8. What's the worst thing you've ever bought?
Probably my Little Texas. I never use him and he is one of my least favorite models.

9. Favorite tv show?
The Voice of I Love Lucy

10. What is your least favorite Breyer mold, horse, and color?
Any Khemosabi model is blah. Most definitely my least favorite model.

Now for StableStoreys questions:

What is your favorite place to be?
In the Barn. :) Or any horse store.

How long have you been blogging?
I have 5 blogs, some private and some public, so between those it has been about 3 years.

What would you’r dream home be like?
Probably a white house with a front porch and a green lawn with white fences and a HUGE barn and indoor arena.

How many blog posts have you made?
I have made 261 blog posts on this blog. :D

What’s your favorite colour?
BLUE

Who is your favorite Harry Potter character?
I don't have one.

Have you got any pets and what are their names?
We have a Golden Retriever named Risa, 2 cats named Jimper and Snickers, 2 fish named Eugene and Rainbow, and 3 horses named Sherman, Ollie, and Billie Jean.

Have you ever fallen of a chair? (don’t ask)
Um....maybe....(laughs sheepishly)

What  brand of model horses do you have the most of if any?
Breyer.

What is your favorite horse colour?
Grulla, or a Buckskin. LOVE those two colors.

Thank you for all of the questions, as I LOVED doing them! If any of you would like to answer my questions, feel free! You are all nominated!

(Copied and pasted from Ceder Wood Stables)

CWS questions to me:
1: Best model horse buy?
Hmmm.....I would probably have to say....my Don't Look Twice mare. She was a steal for her worth to me!
2: Ever had a model horse barn set up?
Yes, but it has been a while!
3: Any Peter Stone models?
No. :(
4: How many Schleichs (if any) do you have?
I have about 12 Schleichs. I love Schleich dogs, so I have a few of those also. :)
5: Favourite type of horse riding? E.g barrel racing, dressage, jumping…
It is Reining hands down.
6: Ever been to Breyerfest? (Or any other model horse event)
Not Breyerfest, but I did go to a Dover Saddlery Breyer Horse Fun Day a few years ago.
7: Least favourite horse colour?
Oh geez.......it would probably be...the color of Ollie. Haha I ended up with the color I never wanted! But, he is worth it and his color isn't so bad. :) He just needs a long tail!
8: If you could design a Regular Model for Breyer, what would it’s mold, colour, eye colour and markings be?
Bobby Jo mold, Gelding, colored as Ollie (So, white with chestnut varnish, mottling, and chestnut ears) and made as a regular run. :)
9: Do you have a subscription to a horse or craft magazine?
I am subscribed to EQUUS, and I have been for about 6 years now. My horse trainer gives me her Horse and Riders after she reads them.
10: Favourite thing about the model horse hobby?
All of the pictures! I think that someone who can take good, lifelike pictures of a model should be highly respected, and because I am a visual person I LOVE looking at good model horse pictures. :)

1 Year Anniversary

One year ago, this happened.

(See the horse trailer in the background?)

Ollie's first picture in his new home.

We put him in the round pen.....

....and that started the journey with my stubborn brat. XD

The next morning, I let him out in the front pasture and he got his first taste of the new grass.

Then I had my first photo-shoot with him.
Blah. That mane! I am so glad it has grown out.

Our first rides were a little bumpy.....
See my jeans? Yeah, he ripped those during the ride.
..but as the year progressed, he improved.
June 2015

October 2015
I watched him get his winter coat...

So DIRTY!!!

...and then become all sleek again.

After a bath. June 2015

He was there through the selling of three horses.....

Ollie with Rosie and Half Pint-sold May 2015

Cheyenne (far right) sold September 2015

Current mare-Billie Jean September 2015-

...and stills remains as playful as ever.

I have learned so much, and he has too.

His mane has improved....

May 2015

..and his tail also. (THANK YOU, MTG!)
October 2014

September 2015

His face has roaned out...(a little)..

October 2014

...and we still have photoshoots.

He may be a little bit more difficult sometimes, but I wouldn't have it any other way. :)

I am excited to see what next year brings, and what new things Ollie and I will have to overcome.

One Year

I bought my best friend today at a Pat Parelli horsemanship clinic. He came home 3 days later. I love this horse more than words can say.

She Came!!

After waiting over two weeks (and from what I have heard that isn't too long..Breyer is notorious for bad shipping) OT Sara Moniet RSI came! She is beautiful and quite possibly one of my favorite molds. She has some minor rubs on her tail and her mane, and a very small beginning rub on her hindquarter, but she is pretty "clean" otherwise. I am so hooked on the mold that I am already considering the thought of buying Smoke. Here are a few pictures, I am sorry that they aren't the usual quality of my other photos, but I was rushing and the lighting isn't the best outside right now.

I think why I like this mold in particular is that she is very "feminine" in her face and she is very elegant throughout her whole body. Breyer is ruled by Stallions and Geldings, so it is good to see a very "womanly" model being sold as a regular run! :)

QOTD: Do you have OT Sara Moniet RSI? Do you have Smoke? Do you like her?

P.S. She needs a name!! If you all could help me out with that it would be great! Just comment below your thoughts. :)
