Thank you so much for 15,000 views! To celebrate I am doing to do something special.

I don't know if you know this, but I love to draw horses. I started drawing when I was two, and I have been drawing ever since. The pictures below I have done in the past two days:

My Favorite! :)

Anyway I have decided to do a contest. Send me an email with a picture of your favorite model, and I will draw it then send it to you!! Here are the Rules:

1. Email me at cowgirlyssa@gmail.com
2. Name your favorite Breyer Model that you own. Please specify his (or her) name also.
3. Send a picture of your model, preferably a good one where I can see the detail of the face, legs, etc. Your picture can be at any angle but remember: Whichever angle the photo is is how I will draw it.
4. Specify ink or pencil for your drawing. Pen will be less detailed but pencil may rub and blur.
5. send me your address, and I will send the picture in heavy watercolor paper right to you for free!
7. First come, first serve!!! Don't be afraid to email me if you think all the slots I can draw are taken. :)

Remember: This is all free! Because this is a contest and it is free if you do not like your drawing (I promise I will do the best I can) no rude commenting on this blog. Thanks!!!!!

I am excited, and I cannot wait to draw something for you!!!!!

P.S. If you do not want to email me then you can comment with your model's name and mold/ model and I can either find a picture on the internet of the same mold OR I can use one of my models if they are the same mold. Enjoy!!!

Progress Report(s)

Hello everybody!
I have progress reports for three models who are being etched/customized. Sherbet (the horse in this post) is now getting his mapping and detailing. He should be finished very soon. I also have another etchie named Moonshine, who is also currently being etched.

On the other hand.....I have a mare who I have been working on for month's on and off, like most of my customs and etchies. Her name is Calypso. I etched her back in '13, and then in early April this year, I decided to paint over the etched parts. She is a Classic Warmblood mare.

.

I hope to also finish her this weekend along with the others. She has already started to get her mapping, and has a custom tail made out of epoxy. I am hand-painting her in acrylics.

Have a nice day!

Lead Ropes!

Hello everybody! I am very excited to show you some beautiful lead ropes that match the rope halters......four of them will be in the giveaway!

I am very sorry that the lighting isn't best. I was taking these at 9:00 p.m. yesterday evening.

The lead ropes are made out of the very same thread as the lead rope.

Random picture of Phoenix. I also took this photo last night.
I am sorry this post is so short....but I am very busy today. Have a nice day, everybody!  Right now the giveaway includes four lead ropes, and seven rope halters, so don't forget to enter!

Good luck!

A Surprising Collection

If you have been reading this blog for a while, you would know that I collect Breyer models.....and are now topping 80+ in number on my shelves. While I bought some Schleichs when I was younger, I "graduated" to more fragile models and lost my interest in Schleich's when I got older.....so I thought.

Anyway, after buying the dogs and the beautiful mare yesterday, I decided to find my older Schleichs....I had to look in many places before I found them.

I see a color theme here.....

I was missing five other Schleich models in the picture. I have to go find them after I publish this post.

Adorable little spotted babies.

The dogs

It is easy to note that they are far from mint...but all the rubs mean that they were played with a lot by me in their day...and now my little sisters find them just as fascinating as I did.

Classic Foal Rope Halter

I don't want to show too many pictures so that I can keep some of the Giveaway a secret...but I have decided to throw in a Classic Foal rope halter and a few more surprises for the giveaway! If you want this halter plus six traditional rope halters and the surprises, just enter!  I think your models will love them! If you have any questions just comment. I will reply as quickly as possible. Have fun, everybody!

Note: You do not need to pay for anything (including postage) for this giveaway. I MAY have international contestants pay for postage, but I am not sure yet.

Not Planned....

I don't collect Schleichs. I have a few very rubbed ones for my younger sisters to play with, but I don't have many. But today while I was shopping for some special twine for my rope halters, I stumbled across a shelf full of Schleichs. I grabbed a husky and a wolf, planning to use them for my MEPSA performance scene entry, but then something caught my eye at the very bottom of the shelf. There was the most beautiful, flawless Schleich horse I have ever seen. I bought her immediately.

His face is a little neurotic, but that is okay.

Scale is perfect for the scene I am thinking of!
On the other hand.......

I have started a Rope Halter giveaway. It will include six rope halters, in assorted colors. Two made for big Traditional's, two made for medium traditional's, and two for a small traditional. I bought some nice twine that looks and feels just like rope (that is in scale to the model)! They are very realistic. Please enter!
Light blue-Medium Sized Traditional
This halter is in the giveaway!
