Shady or Sunny?

I don't know if I should use a sunny or shady photo for my IMEHA and MEPSA show coming up. I need your opinions. What do you all think?

Shady: Picture One.

Sunny: Picture Two
Please comment "Picture One" or "Picture Two" to help me out! Thanks!

MEPSA 2014 Championship Show Results

While I don't have the MEPSA box of prizes and awards yet, I saw the MEPSA book with the results available from Lulu as a PDF for 10 dollars, so I decided to go ahead and buy it. However, my dad had to buy it, and he was on vacation with my mom for their Anniversary, so he bought it and tried to send it via email to me. It didn't work. So I got the brilliant idea of having the Novice results copied to document word, then sent down to me. Some of the pages were cut off and a little hard to read, but I read it.

Maybe I shouldn't have.

It seems as if the judge was the tiniest bit "in favor" of one shower (granted, her photos were great). She got Overall Grand Champion, Reserve Champion Halter, AND Overall Grand Champion, Reserve Champion Performance PLUS Overall judges choice! While I was happy for her....I was a little disheartened. I was crying after I read the rest of the results.

Paintball
5th place Stallion, 8th place STOCK (He is gaited)
Blackhawk
6th place Stallion, 9th pace ARABIAN/MORGAN (He is an appaloosa)
Theodora
Reserve Champion Mare, Third place Sporthorse, 6th place head-study (I am very happy with this one)
Ashleigh
7th place Mare, Champion Morgans (Ok, I am happy).
Collin
7th place Draft, 5th place Liberty (Remember how he won 1 Grand and 1 Reserve Grand in his first two shows)?
Ashka
Reserve Champion Pony, 6th Place Western Trail
Loki
4th place Spanish
Snow White
8th place Gaited
Ballou/Encore
3rd place Pony
Quimby
Champion Foal, Champion Sporthorse

Dexter
7th place Headstudy
Bleau Angel
8th place ARABIAN/MORGAN (she is a Quarter Horse), 8th place Western Pleasure.
Koda
10th place ARABIAN/MORGANS (He is an appaloosa)
Shasta Marie
6th place Western Pleasure
Zenobia
9th place Mare

I don't know what happened. How could my Stock horses be in the Arab class when they are clearly Appaloosa's or Quarter horses (it say's the breed on the back of the picture) and how could my obviously Gaited Saddlebred be in Stock? How could they place (very badly) in these classes? Why weren't they just DQ'ed from the class they didn't fit in? I am sure that I double-checked the classes to make sure I had the right ones for my horses before I sent the pictures to the show.....

I don't know if it was a misunderstanding of the book publisher, the judge, or me. However, I can't be angry. After all, another Championship Show will come, and I hope to kick butt then. On the bright side, I have always wanted the green-colored ribbon. :)

IMEHA, ABRA, Next season MEPSA and Live Showing, here I come!!!

One (or more) of every color!
NOTE: These are the Australian ribbon colors. I couldn't find an American colored ribbon picture!

Fun With Dogs

Today I took some pictures of some of my models (Dexter, Ashani*, Firework, Bleau Angel. and Magnum's Firecracker) meeting the new dogs I bought yesterday for the first time. I found all the photo's very sweet and cute. I hope you do too!

*Ashani is Ashka's daughter. Ashani will be showing in MEPSA in place of Ashka this season.

More Models!

Magnum's Firecracker isn't the only new horse added to my collection of ever-growing Breyer horses. Today I made a trip to Walmart and Murdoch's and ended coming home with new models.

I really wanted this pretty gal for quite some time. I had never gotten her because of her "lazy" eye's. It was between Snowman, Secretariat, Sam, or the Grulla Pinto, but I decided on the Pinto mare and foal at Murdochs because my birthday is in ten days and I will probably get the Grulla Pinto and Sam then.

It turns out that the Pinto Mare actually has really good shading, coloring, without over-spray, or bubbles over the paint. I was very happy I got her. I think I might name her "Sheza Flawless Baby."

She will be up on "My Show String" later today, along with her foal.

The little colt has a few flaws, but he is better than some of the other ones I saw!

I have wanted this model and mold for about a year now. I finally got him, only to buy him and take him out of the package and see....

....A LOT of flaws. It looks like he has dirt all over his one side. I hope a good washing in soap water will take care of that. ;)

I think I may need to start a "My dogs" page soon. I bought a Aussie and Golden Retriever puppy at Walmart. They can now go join my Dalmatian, Saint Bernard,Wolf,  and Husky on the shelf. I am going to get the German Shepherd and Golden Retriever mommy in a few days.

"New" Model

Hello everybody!

A few day's back, I bought Brookside Pink Magnum from my sister because she needed some money for a birthday coming up (Hint hint, my birthday) :). I used to own another Brookside Pink Magnum named Magnum's Bold Wish, but because of his dark face, he was hard to photo show and didn't place very well. So, I traded him to a friend last year. This December my sister bought one at Murdoch's. It was a little bittersweet for me buy him from her, because I knew that it was her only Traditional, but she assured me that she needed the money and that he would be happier on my shelf.

I am glad that I have another "Magnum" again.

I think I will call him "Magnum's Firecracker."

Still hard to photograph with that dark head!
